2. Disclaimer – Accuracy, Completeness, and Legal Bindingness of Website Information
No liability can be accepted for the accuracy of the publications and links. The operator of this website checks the content and information with the utmost care. Nevertheless, no guarantee can be given for the completeness, reliability, or correctness of the published information. In this sense, the operator reserves the right to make changes to the portal as required and without prior notice.
3. Data Transmission
Each user is responsible for the data and content they transmit. dominicontour.com is not liable to users or third parties for content and programs distributed via the services, nor for damages of any kind that may arise from their use, distribution, etc.
4. Handling of Transmitted Data
Transmitted data (email, comments, etc.) are generally processed, published, or forwarded immediately. dominicontour.com strives for the optimal functioning of these areas, although system-related interruptions, delays, or waiting times cannot be ruled out. Data transmission is fundamentally at the user’s own risk and without any warranty from dominicontour.com. Any liability for data not received is declined.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users who register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (the username cannot be changed). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
5. Links (References) to External Websites
The contents of external websites connected via hyperlinks were subjected to a general content check at the time of linking. The content may have changed in the meantime. The operators of the linked pages are solely responsible for their content. We are grateful for notifications regarding links to websites with illegal content. We will review such reports and adjust or remove the affected links if necessary.
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
6. Assurance
dominicontour.com takes all reasonable steps to ensure the reliability of the information presented, but makes no representations as to the correctness, reliability, or completeness of the information contained on the website. It reserves the right to make changes to this website at any time without prior notice.
7. Matomo Analytics
Scope and Purpose
We use the open-source software service Matomo to analyze the surfing behavior of our users. This analysis helps us optimize our website and improve its user-friendliness.
The software is self-hosted on our own servers. No data is transmitted to Matomo or any other third party.
Data Processing and Anonymization
When individual pages of our website are accessed, the following data is stored:
- Two bytes of the IP address of the user’s calling system (see below).
- The accessed website.
- The website from which the user reached the accessed website (referrer).
- The subpages that are accessed from the accessed website.
- The length of stay on the website.
- The frequency with which the website is accessed.
IP Anonymization: We prioritize your privacy by using IP masking. The software is configured so that IP addresses are not stored in full. Instead, 2 bytes of the IP address are masked (e.g., 192.168.xxx.xxx). By shortening the IP address in this way, it is no longer possible to assign the IP address to the calling computer or a specific individual.
Right to Object (Opt-Out)
You can opt out of the collection and analysis of your data by Matomo at any time.
By clicking the link above, an “opt-out cookie” will be stored on your browser. This tells our system not to store your data. If you delete your cookies, you will need to activate the opt-out again.
8. Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
