Journey to Darwin
On 2 December 2017 I flew via Singapore to Darwin. In Singapore I had a short stay at the airport before my flight to Darwin. In Darwin, I was through passport control in 30 minutes. The taxi ride to the hotel took about 15 minutes.
Exploring Darwin
Darwin is the capitol of the Northern Territory of Australia. If you take a hotel in Darwin CBD, you can explore the city on foot. Within 10 minutes walking distance you are at the Darwin Waterfront or the Esplanade. There are lots of bars and pubs on Mitchell Street.
Hit the road
On 5 December 2017 I took over my rental camper. On the first day I drove to the Corroboree Park Tavern where I spent my first night in the camper. On the morning of the second day I decided not to go further into the Kakadu National Park but directly to Katherine. After a drive of 352 km I arrived at the Katherine Holiday Park. Katherine Holiday Park is a beautiful resort. My next stop is Lake Argyle. To reach it I leave the Northern Territory and come to Western Australia.
